VGPM Update 1.52
We just rolled out a new VGPM update, and it’s a solid one - focused on giving practice managers more control, reducing billing mistakes, and making plan writing easier for BCBAs.
Here’s what’s new:
1. Goals in the Plan of Care Are Now Optional
Not every clinician wants plans of care to include all goals. Now you can decide whether to include goals when generating a plan. You can also filter what goal status to include (like baseline, active, or met) so you’re not bogged down with everything at once. This gives BCBAs more flexibility in what they choose to present, especially when planning for insurance reviews or treatment updates.
2. Modifiers Now Apply Automatically Based on Education
If your billing setup uses modifier pricing by education level (for example HM, HN, or HO), the system will now apply the correct modifier automatically. As long as each provider has their education level set in their profile, you won’t need to think about it again. This should significantly cut down on billing errors and rework, especially for busy billers.
3. Scheduling Requests Must Go Through Supervisors
All non-admin employees are now required to submit requests for PTO, UTO, admin time, and meetings to their supervisors. They’ll no longer be able to put time on the calendar themselves. This change is aimed at helping managers keep schedules tight and avoid unintentional overlaps or gaps in coverage. It’s a small shift, but it’ll go a long way in helping practices run more smoothly.
We’ll keep pushing updates like these to make your day-to-day easier. If you have any feedback or run into questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
